Pau D’arco has been actively used for centuries, potentially predating the Inca. It hails from a canopy tree that can only be grown in tropical regions, such as South America. How to Use Pau D’arco
There are a number of forms that Pau D’arco can be taken in. You can have it as a liquid, powder, herb, tea, tincture, softgel, ointment, or capsule. It cleanses out the body and blood, while stimulating your body’s immunity and red blood cell count.
It contains a number of medicinal properties that can provide a wealth of benefits. Pau D’arco is analgesic, anti-parasitic, a laxative, an astringent, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antioxidant, antibacterial, astringent and anti-fungal.
This is a fantastic candida and fungus fighter. The results are much more dramatic when you boil the tea bag for 10 minutes rather than just steeping it by pouring already boiled water onto it in the cup.

Making Pau d’Arco Tea
Pau d’Arco tea has been prepared by the Indio tribes of South America for centuries. This herbal tea is perhaps the most widely used method of taking Pau d’Arco, and has in the recent years has become especially popular worldwide. This taheebo tea (another name for Pau d’Arco) may be found in health stores as well as Internet shops.
To prepare your Pau d’Arco tea, mix 2-3 grams of the inner bark tea into a teapot along with each 8 fluid ounce cup of water that you use. For instance, if you want to have 2 cups, then add in about 5 grams of the tea. How much this is in teaspoons or tablespoons may vary based on the density and size of the pieces of bark. If using tea bags, you may follow their ratios instead of making your own measurements. For instance, a bag may be 2.5 grams, and be the proper amount for an 8 oz. cup.
Allow the herbal tea to reach a boil, and then let it boil (but not quickly) for up to 30 minutes, depending upon your taste. It may take some time for the lapacho to be disseminated in this infusion, but 30 minutes is more than a sufficient amount of time. Afterward, you can remove the tea from the heat and let the Pau d’Arco continue to brew while the temperature of the drink lowers to that of your preference.
To ensure that no bark is left in the tea that is to be served, you can use some form of a straining device to remove fragments both large and small. However, you may notice little dust-like specks that end up at the bottom of the tea — don’t worry, this is normal. (source)

You can use pau d’arco to treat vaginal yeast infections by creating this anti-yeast douche at home. You simply need a quart of water, and a mixture of anti-yeast herbs.

Simply boil the water, remove it from the heat and stir in 1 part of each herb. After an hour of steeping, drain the liquid. Add 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and a single drop of tea tree oil before mixing it well. Let it cool, pour it into a douchebag and gently douche.
